A couple of weeks ago I went out to the Dolomites with Red Bull athlete Paul Guschlbauer to film a hike and fly tips video. The aim was to film a variety of different tips in various locations and produce either one longer video or three smaller videos. It was pretty challenging with the cold weather and snow, not ideal for a hike and fly adventure! We also had real problems with the strong wind, making recording audio a nightmare. To deal with this we had three microphones recording at all times – a lapel mic, the onboard mic from the secondary camera and a Rode Stereo Mic pro on the main cam.
The editing was done in Final Cut Pro X and the final version worked better as one video, rather than separated into parts.
